THE NISSAN HERITAGE CAR COLLECTION
Nissan is, after Toyota, the second biggest Japanese car-maker, headquartered in Nishi-Ku, Yokohama. Nissan sells its cars under different brands like Nissan, Infiniti, and Datsun, with in-house performance tuning products labeled as Nismo (Nissan Motor).
In today´s article, I would like to remember you that Nissan´s history is simply amazing and full of success since the date of its foundation, 1933 – despite the latest financial results in 2019. As a lover of the Nissan brand, I would like to share one of the best places where I had the chance to visit a few weeks ago. As the true car lovers we are, I am sure you will love this place as much as I did!
Here we go! I am talking about the Nissan Heritage Car Collection! This special museum – The Heritage Zone – was opened in 2019 as a new permanent public exhibition space at Nissan´s headquarters in Yokohama. The Heritage Zone displays very specific and unique models from the company’s extensive collection of classic cars.
Nissan communicates – through its successful Heritage Zone – its rich history and the company’s continuing focus on customers. Let us remember that Nissan moved its headquarters from Tokyo to Yokohama in 2009 and opened the well-known “Nissan Global Headquarters Gallery”. Then, Due to the success of the Gallery (more than 13 million visitors), Nissan decided to open the Nissan Heritage Car Collection or “Heritage Zone”, as an informal space where visitors can discover Nissan´s heritage through a rich variety of content
The Heritage Zone features a mini-library with a selection of automotive books and back issues of automotive magazines. Visitors can browse these freely in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
THE SPECIAL EXHIBITION CORNER. ENJOY THE GALLERY!
From hundred of cars in the Nissan Heritage Collection, the museum features classic models. According to the Heritage Zone´s schedule, the cars shown will change periodically to keep the display fresh and informative. Hereafter, I would like to share with you some of the vehicles I had the chance to see during my visit at the Nissan Heritage Collection.
